I remembered writing my first ideal scene six years ago at the Reiki centre’s twice-annual ideal scene event hosted by my master Elaine Grundy. It was an amazing experience where everyone builds an amazing energy to co-create and be inspired. I was feeling anxious thinking about all the things I wanted to write about the year and wishing that whatever that I write would manifest by the following year on a small scale. Well fast forward to 2020, I realised that over the years of writing the ideal scene, several things I wrote about did eventually manifest at its own pace. While in the moment of actually writing the ideal scene, I noticed how the build-up energy from the reiki share guides us to write scenes which leads us to our higher purpose or potential. I found myself fascinated to observe how I was not able to pin down my conscious ego thoughts on what I want and how I wanted to manifest certain goals. So, if you are worried about what you are going to write for your ideal scene, don’t worry as the reiki energy would inspire your creativity of writing the ideal scene. You will definitely be amazed at how much you will be writing.

What to expect?

We will start with our usual reiki share format, followed by the ideal scene writing.

  • Newbies are expected to check out the reiki share format prior to attending the event.

The energy after the reiki share is so amazing and manifesting hence you will find your comfort spot around the room, grab a pen and a piece of paper (recommended to bring your own journal) and begin to write your ideal scene.

Imagine, it is a year from today and you have everything you ever wanted in your life for this year. If you haven't seen someone (e.g. a friend, colleague, family member) real or imaginary for a year then write a really long letter to update this person on how your perfect life one year from now is going. Describe every aspect of your life to the person you are writing to in detail.

For example:

I remembered that on 15th December 2016, I wrote a letter to my future husband (imaginary character) describing how 2017 was a great year. Do note that at Dec 2016 I was just entering my Master's degree practicum and also preparing for my reiki master teacher's training programme alongside completing my Sleeptalk course. Hence in the letter, I wrote,

  1. I completed my practicum with ease alongside other courses I was committed to.

  2. How I made progress in both psychotherapy clock in hours at TSPP and reiki business in detail.

  3. And my intention of how 2018 is going to be a year where I and my future husband is going to meet people who will help us raise our spiritual vibrations.

In one year (15 December 2017), I realise that though I was not able to achieve all that, and some aspect was different to what  I had imagined, and some took slightly more than a year to manifest, but in all cases, I saw massive progress. I noticed how the journey of the year has moulded me into the person who is capable of achieving more than what is being written and being a better version of myself. Now at 2018, looking back at the letter of 2016  with regards to 2017, I did complete my Master's degree in Guidance and Counselling while in the process of developing my reiki business alongside completing my other courses. In addition, mind way of 2018 I realised how I have been meeting people who are helping me raise my spiritual vibrations. So you can see why I now do this every year!

Personally, I think that the trick is to focus on yourself on what you want and being honest about what aspects of your life are far from ideal. For example, if you write 'I had a wonderful year with my spouse and our relationship just grows on stronger' and you coke on your own saliva or drink as you write this - then you know you have some work in this area.  Same goes for anything you write, "My career gives me peace and financial stability, which allowed me to go on organising more events and support my family while helping others without being worried for my future finances. I was also able to recruit people to work for me'...etc. Just go for it, write whatever makes you excited, passionate and make you feel deeply fulfilled and happy, get it all down on paper and create some energy around it.

Some suggestions on what you can focus on and write about:

  • What activities are you doing?

  • What is your daily health routine?

  • What are your hobbies?

  • What personal accomplishments have you made happen?

  • What does your career or personal business look like?

    • Write details on how far you commute, your work hours, your co-workers and more.

  • What do you do for spiritual enhancement?

  • What is your significant relationship like?

  • Do you have children? If so, What personal things they have accomplished?

  • Where do you live and in what type of home? What colour and how it is decorated?

  • Which country or places did you travel to?

    • Is it for business or leisure? solo trip or accompanied?

  • What insights did you gain about yourself over the year? how was this insight useful to you?

  • What did you consider the most memorable event of the year? why?

Once you are done writing your scene, know that what you have already written about the year from now, it is right here, right now.

Next year when you re-visit and read the letter you have written, you will be amazed at the way you would have achieved what you wrote in your ideal scene!
